Unconditional love is the type of love that comes without conditions. The type of love you have for your partner when the romantic hollywood style of love is gone.
Once the romance is gone, (give it a few years, you'll see what I'm talking about) you make the transition to Real Love. This is love you have for your partner dispite the fact they aren't perfect. You know your partner's faults and imperfections, but thats okay... You still love them. Thus, you have unconditional love.
To put it another way. It's the same type of love (without the added benifit of sex) you would have for your parents or your children. Assuming you love your parents and children.
Another example would be the way you love you dog or pets, unconditionally. You love your children unconditionally, right. However, this can be difficult to do especially during the teenage years.
We all go through trials and tribulations, there is the temptation to let our issues rule our lives. If your serious about a lasting marriage, you need to put the clutter aside and let your unconditional love come through. Love really does conquer all.
